LOC Employee Receives Chamber Award

The Howell Area Chamber of Commerce presented Rozalina Mekhael of LOC the Young Professional Award at their 55th annual dinner. The award honors an up and coming business leader.

Rozalina's contributions to the chamber include being the hospitality chair at the Michigan Challenge Balloonfest, on the committee of Livingston County Home Show, a volunteer at the Golf Classic, Business After Hours Honoring Educators along with being an ambassador for the chamber. She is also a familiar face at Howell Public Schools where she teaches students about money and the value of saving.

 


 

Join LOC at the Walk For Warmth and Rebuilding Together. 

OLHSA, A Community Action Agency, is proud to host the 22nd annual Walk for Warmth events! Become part of the movement!  This year's event is on Saturday, February 25, from 9 to 11 a.m. It is located at the Hartland Education Support Service Center, 9525 East Highland Rd, Howell, MI 48855. Walk for Warmth is a walk-a-thon event. The event is non-competitive and includes entertainment along the walk course, is family friendly, and includes perks like a t-shirt and refreshments.
LOC believes that as a local credit union it is essential to make a positive impact in our community. With these tough times it is so important to show our support and give back. In addition LOC's staff will be volunteering at Rebuilding Together on Saturday, April 28 to help low-income Oakland County residents who are elderly, disabled, military veterans, families with children or unable to do simple home repair and yard work themselves. In the past years members of the credit union joined the LOC team to help with this wonderful event. If you would like to join our team please complete this online application or contact us at 800.837.4562.

Since 1992, Rebuilding Together has mobilized local organizations to create safe and comfortable home environment for local residents. This group contributes funds toward home renovations and send workers to complete home repairs during a “one-day blitz”.
